My experience working with Dr. Maura has been everything I had hoped for and more. Prior to meeting with her, I had spent an entire year suffering from awful gut and digestive issues. I met with doctors, specialists, did all the labs, exams, imaging and more - all to be told that "nothing is wrong". I knew my body was telling me otherwise, so when I found my way to naturopathic medicine, and Dr. Maura, I knew this was my only shot at healing. Holistic medicine of any kind takes time (you don't just pop a pill and quick fix things over night), but with Dr. Maura's guidance, knowledge and kindness, I can finally say that I am healed. I feel a bit emotional writing these words, because there was a time when I felt I would never reach this point, but with her help (and my own dedication), I made it! Naturopathic medicine should truly be the norm. The focus is on getting to the ROOT of the problem (which is often multiple things at play) and treating the body, mind and spirit as a WHOLE, not just throwing a band-aid on one thing. I am so excited to have found my way to naturopathic medicine and am grateful to Dr. Maura for her breadth and depth of knowledge and experience in the field. 10/10 recommend!

It's so worth it to finally have a doctor who LISTENS! I started working with Dr. Maura about 8 months ago. Prior to that, I was dealing with perioral dermatitis (PD) that I had for over two years, but I had trouble finding any sort of long-term solution. I saw multiple dermatologists for my PD, but couldn't seem to find any fix (especially one that wouldn't just obliterate my system with antibiotics). I finally reached out to Dr. Maura to get help. I was cautious because I knew that it wouldn't be covered under my insurance...but it was so worth it to finally have a doctor just listen to me. Dr. Maura listened to everything that I was dealing with, from dermatologic to digestive issues, and diagnosed me with SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). From there, she was able to prescribe a treatment plan, including diet, vitamins, prescriptions & lifestyle changes that actually had an effect. To anyone else who is at the end of their rope and feels like other doctors just don't really care...I would recommend seeing Dr. Maura!

Dr. Patel was an angel sent from above. I was feeling extremely bloated, fatigued and tired of not getting answers. I was told that I 'just had IBS' by other doctors so when I met Dr. Patel, I was so happy. He took such a deep dive in to my past medical history and my current symptoms and figured out that I had Leaky Gut and SIBO. He gave me the supplements he thought my body needed not just randomly from a list of supplements. I am feeling like a new person since starting those supplements. I think the best part of this all is that I won't have to be on these forever. He is looking to actually heal my body so that I can go back to feeling great without restrictions.

I've worked with Dr. Maura for more than a half a year now. I originally came to Dr. Maura for gut issues, and she has helped tremendously in addressing both GI and reproductive health issues. From our very first appt, I could tell that Dr. Maura is not only incredibly knowledgable and thorough, but a kind, thoughtful, and empathetic individual. She takes her time with you and truly listens to your symptoms. Dr. Maura recommends the right tests and teaches you to listen to your body, helping you address the root cause of your health issues. I now feel much better about my gut (she helped clear up a small intestinal bacterial overgrowth in less than 2 mo), and PCOS symptoms have been addressed as well. I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Maura! If you feel in any way that your health or well-being could be improved, I recommend you see Dr. Maura -- you will not be disappointed! Thank you, Dr. Maura for all that you've done and continue to do!

I had been having symptoms of bloating, a pushing feeling in my stomach, tiredness, brain fog, severe allergies and general malaise for a few years. I saw many doctors and none has answers for me and dismissed my symptoms after some “routine blood work” as age (I’m 39) and stress. In researching gut health and brain fog, I came across Dr. Maura and I am so thankful I did!!! I didn’t know what to expect since I had never seen a ND before. When i met with her I felt like someone was finally listening to me and taking my symptoms seriously! She did a very comprehensive workout involving blood work and at home kits. When my results were in, she sat down with me and thoroughly went over a plan to get my gut on track as well as my thyroid since the tests she performed revealed thyroid antibodies. The plan involved diet changes as well as supplements. Within a month my brain fog was almost gone, my stomach no longer had that pushing bloated feeling and my energy level had increased! If i was feeling 3/10 when I originally went to Dr Maura, I was now feeling 8/10! If you have been searching for answers and coming up empty and if you have been searching for a doctor who will listen and understand, look no further! Dr. Maura has helped me immensely and I am forever grateful I went the ND route!
