I found Dr. Maura by the grace of God. I’ve had IBS for 20 years & suddenly 2 years ago I lost 20 pounds and was down to 84 pounds. Since I’m over 65 I was very concerned. I had consulted with 2 other functional/ holistic doctors but I didn’t have the confidence in either of them. One night I spent hours searching Holistic doctors nyc and finally found Dr. Maura. All the reviews were positive and patients were pleased with the results. In the last few months I’ve gained back the 20 pounds & feel so much better. You will not go wrong seeing Dr. Maura, she is sensitive, kind, supportive, patient- I’ve asked her so MANY questions- knowledgeable and just a genuinely sincere, caring person and doctor. I began seeing Dr. Patel virtually a few months ago. Had been dealing with chronic “gut issues” for at least a decade (along with many seemingly related ailments) and finally feel like I am making progress in just a few months because of his treatment plan. I went to see Dr. Ronak Patel at Dr. Maura's practice with significant stomach discomfort and poor gut health. In my time with Dr. Patel, not only did he completely heal my stomach (more than any doctor was able to do previously), but every aspect of my health and wellbeing has drastically improved under his care. I decided to consult a naturopathic doctor after struggling with a hormonal imbalance for years. I had already seen other conventional doctors who always pushed several medications which I knew would never solve the actual source of the problem within my body. I was completely shocked to see all of my results came back normal without any trace of hormonal issues AT ALL. Had, and am having, a wonderful, holistic, thorough experience with Dr. Ronak Patel. I've been recommended to talk to the team and am happy I did so. I went there with on-going discomfort with my digestion, and slowly but surely we are working on getting it (and other things) better. First tests and analysis gave us a screenshot of what's going on, and a good starting point for deciding on priorities of what to tackle first. It's getting better, and we still have some work to do, which I'm excited about as the way I feel can improve more. Thank you very much Dr Patel and the rest of the team!

Dr. Maura made a huge impact on my life. After going to many doctors over the years, none of them were able to figure out what was wrong with my gut and I was told it's "normal" which I knew it wasn't. After being referred by a friend to dr. Maura, it was the best decision I'd ever made. SO WORTH IT! She cares, and gets to the root of the problem. Not to mention, it's all the natural way! No perscription drugs to "coat" the problem. REAL life changes, natural supplements and formulas to fully heal the problem. Literally life changing. I’ve been seeing Dr. Patel since late January this year and it’s been such a beautiful journey. I’ve struggled with so many GI issues, lack of energy, poor sleep, recurring acne and really bad PMS in the past few years before hopping on board with the naturopathic route. Meeting Dr. P has been the ultimate blessing. The first appt was so thorough and we went over everything from past medical history to lifestyle and had a conversation about things my last doctor didn’t ask me. After our initial appt he recommended tests so we can get more info on what’s going on in my body. The second appt was even more detailed- he explained every test and result we got back. He also formulated a plan for me to help tackle some of the issues I had. Many of my issues were related to leaky gut, and gut flora imbalance, as well as, cortisol and sex hormone imbalance. Initially it seemed really scary to have so many issues happening at once but Dr. P assured me we would do it in stages and get to the most important ones first and then work our way through the rest. It was easy to get into the regimen because he gave me hope about getting better in ways that other practitioners couldn’t. And with that support I was able to tackle most of my issues and see results. I can now eat foods I love and not feel bloated, and sick after. I don’t have PMS anymore and the quality of my sleep has improved tremendously. My quality of life has definitely gotten better and I can say I am a lot happier these days. I couldn’t have done it without Dr. P.
