I have been seeing Dr. Maura for digestive issues for the past several months and am located out of state, outside of the NYC region. If you are suffering with IBS/SIBO I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Maura. I had been suffering with IBS/SIBO for approximately 18 months before seeing Dr. Maura. I had gone through all the standard protocol for digestive issues through my PCP and then I had seen several gastroenterologists across 3 major hospital networks. I had all the digestive tests you could imagine and spent thousands of dollars even with healthcare coverage (maxing out my out of pocket max). After 2 gastroenterologists at an Ivy League hospital network told me “I just have IBS and have to live with the symptoms” I was not willing to accept this and felt I exhausted my options in the traditional medicine world. Before working with Dr. P, I genuinely believed my issues were things I’d just have to deal with for the rest of my life.
